Afritech XYZ supports tech founders in Africa to make meaningful connections with mentors and tech leaders around the world.  Its goal is to help each start-up move from early stage into growth and scale, nationally and internationally.

At the workshop 8 Novartis volunteers partnered with Hogan Lovells volunteers, our ILFA secondees Naa Amerteifio, Selvina Bell, Momodou Jallow and Damilola Oshodi and local counsel to advise 4 Africa-based tech start-ups working to address sustainability issues.  The workshop was also kindly supported by Sheila Darkwa and Anne-Marie Abotchie of S&H Group Ltd in Ghana and Victor Sameria from Templars Law in Nigeria. Participants dialled in from around the world to speak to entrepreneurs tackling issues around healthcare, education and housing.  

Sikadan Homes is a Ghana-based proptech company that uses property management models and financial innovations to enable low-income households pay their rent at a low cost in Ghana. Sikadan Homes does this through its SMART Rent programme, a non-loan renting plan that offers low-income household a pay monthly rent in a more secured and reliable way.

Bukyia Innovative Kitchen Concept
is a Ghana-based kitchen start-up which helps food vendors start delivery-only restaurants with zero capital, minimal effort, and time. Bukyia helps local restaurants expand to new neighbourhoods and deliver their authentic and budget-friendly meal online in less than 20 minutes leveraging Bukyia’s cloud kitchen concepts.

PharmaServ is a Nigeria-based sales operations platform designed to build better end-to-end sales experience for healthcare brands and Donor agencies. PharmaServ’s platform automates sales workflow for pharmaceutical field sales team and sale managers, streamlining the process.

ShortKode Technologies Limited is a Nigeria-based social enterprise start-up working to improve education by ensuring that teachers can get and retain permanent jobs. ShortKode is a job-matching service that assists schools in finding quality pre-screened teachers to save time and money.
