The French edition of our HL BaSE Catalyst pro bono workshop was held on 25 June 2020 – and for the first time, fully online. Our lawyers were joined by inhouse counsel from Hogan Lovells clients Bank of America, 3M and PayPal, to advise social entrepreneurs from the incubator programme led by the association Entrepreneurs dans la Ville.

For this third edition of our French BaSE Catalyst, we partnered with Entrepreneurs dans la Ville (EDLV), an incubator programme which was co-created by Emlyon Business School and Sport dans la Ville.

11 volunteer lawyers from our Paris office and 7 inhouse counsel from our clients Bank of America, 3M and PayPal came together to advise three social entrepreneurs from the EDLV programme:

  • Mansour Ndao, founder of Mentor Goal, which offers guidance and individual mentorship sessions to students in need in their job searches;
  • Olga Sourkova, founder of Salt Executive, which recruits, trains and supports job candidates with diverse profiles for employment in the luxury products sector;
  • Floriane Rokia, founder of the NESATI brand, which creates medicinal plant infusions for women’s health.

The event was hosted entirely online, by Katia Merlini, partner in charge of Pro Bono activities in Paris, and our Continental Europe Citizenship team.
