HL BaSE Catalyst - London November 2023

HL BaSE hosted a pro bono workshop as part of the HL BaSE Catalyst programme. The programme brings together in-house counsel and Hogan Lovells volunteers to advise social enterprises and charities. At the workshop we heard from some inspiring impact organisations before breaking out into individual advice sessions. The mix of legal volunteers, entrepreneurs and changemakers led to some great discussions and an opportunity to consider some exciting legal challenges from a range of perspectives.

HL BaSE Catalyst meets Changemakers for the Planet

Our proven pro bono format "HL BaSE Catalyst" entered a new round on Tuesday 23 May, 2023. During the workshop, we worked together with our corporate clients to advise young founders on legal issues free of charge. This year, for the first time, the German edition of the workshop took place in cooperation with "Changemakers for the Planet", an initiative dedicated to fighting climate change and supporting young business founders from the environmental and climate sector.

HL BaSE Catalyst - Italy 2023

An enthusiastic team of volunteer lawyers and business services staff organised the third round of our pro bono workshop - HL BaSE Catalyst - in Italy, which took place live in our Milan office on Thursday, 11 May 2023. Our lawyers provided pro bono legal advice to four social enterprises together with experienced in-house legal counsel from corporates including Amtrust Assicurazioni, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Italy), Italgas, Prelios SGR, SC Lowy and Terna S.p.A.

HL BaSE Catalyst – Afritech XYZ

Afritech XYZ supports tech founders in Africa to make meaningful connections with mentors and tech leaders around the world. Its goal is to help each start-up move from early stage into growth and scale, nationally and internationally.

HL BaSE Catalyst – Paris 2022

On 10 May 2022, a team from our Paris office including nine volunteer lawyers, organized the fifth HL BaSE Catalyst workshop which took place virtually and advised four social entrepreneurs alongside two of our corporate clients, Société Générale and 3M.
