Piece of Cake Productions is a Black-led creative hub dedicated to championing, and creating opportunities for Black and Global Majority creatives. We are an associate company of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Lead Artists at Bush Theatre and have close relationships with theatres and venues across London and the south coast.
In our 18 months in the industry we have had multiple sold out shows including The Route: A Carnival Story at Bush Theatre, and critically acclaimed one-person show Things I Can Laugh About Now, written by and starring Shakira Newton; which bagged two nominations at the Black British Theatre Awards after its first run at Brixton House in 2022.
We specialise in producing live events across the entertainment sector and hope that our equity[1] forward approach to curating projects involving Black and Global Majority creatives will ensure we are part of the change we want to see in this industry and the world.
